The normal SPG Amex offer is for 25,000 Starpoints:
- 10,000 points after 1st purchase
- Additional 15,000 points after $5k spend in 3 months
- No first year fee, $65 thereafter
At the moment, the offer has an increased bonus for 30,000 Starpoints if you are referred by someone with the card
- 10,000 points after 1st purchase
- Additional 20,000 points after $5K spend in 3 months
- No first year fee, $65 thereafter
The referrer also gets 5,000 Starpoints for the referral.
I just got this card before May 1st, because that’s the date they discontinued giving repeat bonuses for the card. Perhaps I will ask for a match and see what happens.
If you’ve got the bonus from this card in the past, you should not be applying because you won’t get the points again.
