If you have a Chase Freedom and a Chase checking account, you should check your recent statement for the 10% annual bonus ultimate rewards points that you are supposed to get.
I was able to see the 10% bonus on my most recent statement. It was a nice surprise to see 2800 Ultimate Rewards bonus points.
However, Chase gave warning earlier that they were ending this 10% bonus. According to the program changes:
After the closing date on your December 2015 billing statement, you will no longer earn the extra 10% annual bonus that you get on the cash back you’ve already received for new purchases. If you have an open Chase checking account on that date, you will receive your final 10% annual bonus award in early 2016.
I had a second Freedom card and I saw a 1600 point bonus on that as well.
It looks like this is the final bonus that we will see on this card. Chase had ended the 7% annual dividend on the Sapphire Preferred previously. It looks like banks are clamping down on giving away easy points. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.
